Messiah, Son of God • Life of Jesus
Jesus of Nazareth is the central figure of the four Gospels and the promised Messiah. Born to Mary and legally received into the house of David through Joseph, He proclaimed the kingdom of God, called disciples, taught with authority, healed the sick, cast out demons, performed signs and wonders, and revealed the Father. He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, condemned under Pontius Pilate, crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. The Gospels present Him as the Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Man, the Son of God, the Word made flesh, and the risen Lord.
