Apostle Who Betrayed Jesus • Life of Jesus
Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus' twelve apostles and the disciple who betrayed Him. He agreed to hand Jesus over to the authorities and identified Him during the arrest. John's Gospel also describes Judas as keeper of the disciples' money box. Matthew records that Judas later returned the betrayal money in remorse and died.
