Brother of Herod Antipas and Former Husband of Herodias • Life of Jesus
Philip was a brother of Herod Antipas and the former husband of Herodias. Matthew and Mark identify him in connection with John the Baptist's condemnation of Antipas's marriage to his brother's wife. He should not be confused with Philip the Apostle or Philip the tetrarch.
