Prophetess at the Temple • Life of Jesus
Anna was an elderly prophetess of the tribe of Asher and the daughter of Phanuel. She worshiped at the temple with fasting and prayer. When Jesus was brought to the temple, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to those waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.
