High Priest of Jerusalem • Fall of Judah
Seraiah was the high priest in Jerusalem at the time of the Babylonian conquest. When Nebuchadnezzar captured the city, Seraiah and other leading officials were taken to Riblah and executed by the king of Babylon. He was the father of Jehozadak, whose son Jeshua later returned from exile and served as high priest during the rebuilding of the Second Temple.
