Mother-in-law of Ruth • Judges
An Israelite woman from Bethlehem who lost her husband Elimelech and her sons Mahlon and Chilion while living in Moab. She returned to Bethlehem with her daughter-in-law Ruth, whose faithfulness became central to the story. Naomi later helped arrange Ruth's marriage to Boaz, and through Ruth became part of the lineage leading to King David.
