Joiada

High Priestly Descendant • Post-Exile

Joiada was the son of Eliashib the high priest and part of the post-exilic priestly succession in Jerusalem. His family line is listed in Nehemiah's priestly records, and one of his sons later became connected by marriage to Sanballat the Horonite, creating a serious conflict with Nehemiah's reforms.
